Mr. Juan Marshall

My name is Juan Marshall, and I’m excited to be a part of the great Killeen High School community and tradition!

I was a teacher’s kid, and went to West Ward, Clifton Park, Pershing Park and Bellaire for elementary before heading to Nolan Middle School and graduating from Ellison in 1988.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1995, where I played basketball. I earned a Master of Science degree in Recreation and Park Administration from Eastern Kentucky University in 1998, and a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Central Texas in 2024.

I have been a teacher and coach at several campuses throughout the state, starting at Smith MS in 2002. I opened Audie Murphy MS in 2004, and also taught and coached at Shoemaker HS. I have taught in resource, self-contained and inclusion special education classes, as well as most social studies classes offered in the state of Texas. I also was a head coach in boys’ and girls’ basketball, powerlifting, golf and softball, and have assisted in football, track, and baseball.

My wife, Anna, is a 1992 KHS grad. We have been married since 1996. Our two kids graduated from Hendrickson HS in Pflugerville, and my daughter is a Texas State graduate. I also have three dogs and a grand-cat!

Having over 10 teachers in my family, I always knew the importance of education (even if I didn’t always do my best with it!) But seeing the impact that my family members had on their communities and students was always inspiring. I am hoping to have that same impact with my hometown and our students.
