Mrs. Roxanne Amador

Hey Roos!

My name is Roxanne Amador. I was born in Odessa, Texas, and my first move was when I was 6 months old. After moving back and forth across the country, due to my dad being in the Navy for 23 years, we landed in Round Rock, Texas, where I graduated from Round Rock High School, and stayed in Central Texas, attending St. Edward’s University in Austin.

I completed my student teaching at Palo Alto Middle School and started my teaching career at Gateway High School, then Live Oak Ridge Middle School, teaching 7^th and 8^th grade Science. In 2020, I left the classroom and went to Education Service Center Region 12 and worked with the GEAR UP grant at Shoemaker and Killeen High Schools.

Both my husband and brother-in-law are proud Roo Alumni, and I am so excited about joining the Roo Family! I hope to work on strengthening classroom instruction, developing lifelong learners, and helping our Roos to go into the world as better people.
