Mrs. Roxanne Amador

Hey Roos!

My name is Roxanne Amador. I was born in Odessa, Texas, and my first move was when I was 6 months old. After moving back and forth across the country, due to my dad being in the Navy for 23 years, we landed in Round Rock, Texas, where I graduated from Round Rock High School, and stayed in Central Texas, attending St. Edward’s University in Austin.

I completed my student teaching at Palo Alto Middle School and started my teaching career at Gateway High School, then Live Oak Ridge Middle School, teaching 7th and 8th grade Science. In 2020, I left the classroom and went to Education Service Center Region 12 and worked with the GEAR UP grant at Shoemaker and Killeen High Schools.

Both my husband and brother-in-law are proud Roo Alumni, and I am so excited about joining the Roo Family! I hope to work on strengthening classroom instruction, developing lifelong learners, and helping our Roos to go into the world as better people.

I look forward to making this a great school year! LET’S GO BIG ROOS!!
