Dr. Kara Trevino

Hey Roos!

My name is Kara Trevino, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Killeen High School. If you really knew me, you would know I was born and raised in Killeen, Texas and attended Bellaire Elementary School, Nolan Middle School, and Killeen High School. I also started my teaching and coaching career at KHS in 2001. I never wanted to pursue any other profession outside of education, and I can remember having the desire to teach since about first grade. Serving as an educator is my calling, and I am proud to support students and families in my hometown where I have received so much care and love over the years. I received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, a Master of Education degree from Tarleton State University-Central Texas, and a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. I have been married to Chris Trevino for 20 years, and we are the proud parents of a 15-year-old GSP (German Shorthaired Pointer) named Hondo!

At Killeen High School, we are a family, and we value integrity, relationships, collaboration, success, and school pride.
