Marvin Rainwater

    Marvin Rainwater is a retired Killeen educator and administrator who, throughout his forty-three years of dedicated service, has worked in various capacities at all campus levels. He also has the distinction of serving as the first Executive Director of the Killeen Career Center. Rainwater received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas State University in San Marcos and his master’s degree in counseling from Texas A&M in Commerce.

    Numerous organizations have acknowledged Marvin’s dedication to education and his tireless efforts to help students successfully reach their potentials. He has received the Incredible Kid Celebration Award, the Friend of NAACP Award, the Camp Fire USSA Award, and the Mirabeau B. Lamar Medal from the Masonic Lodge of Texas.

    Marvin and his wife Jan are the parents of two children, both of whom graduated from Killeen’s public schools. Hoby is a KISD middle school assistant principal. Faith is a Killeen elementary teacher and middle school dance instructor.

    Grateful to have been elected to represent Killeen ISD’s students, its employees, and other citizens of the district, Rainwater is excited to begin serving his 4th term and currently is Board Secretary.
