HB3 - Board Adopted Plans (Early Childhood and CCMR Goals)
House Bill 3 (HB 3) amends Texas Education Code (TEC) to add Sec. 11.185 and 11.186 to include plans that target early childhood (EC) literacy and math proficiency and college, career, and military readiness (CCMR).
Under HB 3, school boards are required to adopt plans in early childhood literacy and math, as well as college, career, and military readiness. View plan requirements.

Notice of Budget and Proposed Tax Rate Public Meeting
A public meeting is held to discuss the school district's budget that will determine the tax rate that will be adopted. Public participation in the discussion is invited.

A request for public information must be in writing and may be presented in person, mailed, emailed, or faxed. Requests for student education records for students currently enrolled in the District should be directed to the campus principal. Tax Rate Notification
Killeen ISD adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year’s tax rate.
The tax rate will effectively be raised by 21.9% and will reduce taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $17. -

Title IX Formal Complaint Procedures
The linked formal complaint procedures are intended to serve as the “grievance process” required by Title IX regulations (34 C.F.R. § 106.45) for responding to formal complaints of sexual harassment, as defined by Title IX.
These procedures are designed for use in the context of allegations of sexual harassment against a student or employee and should be reviewed in combination with FFH(LEGAL) and (LOCAL) and DIA(LEGAL) and (LOCAL) as applicable.

Unauthorized Persons
Authorized district officials, including district police officers, may refuse to allow a person access to property under the district's control in accordance with law under Texas Education Code 37.105.
Killeen ISD has the right to refuse entry onto KISD property or eject an individual if he/she refuses to leave peaceably upon request, and (1) the individual poses a substantial risk of harm to any person or (2) the individual behaves in a manner inappropriate for the school setting, after having received a warning to cease the inappropriate behavior. KISD requires any person on its property to provide identification.
Any person ejected or excluded from KISD property may appeal this decision through local grievance policies FNG(LOCAL) or GF(LOCAL), as applicable.
