Welcome To KISD
-
If you are new to Central Texas we believe you will find the Greater Killeen Area and KISD to be a wonderful place to raise and educate your children. We proudly serve the communities of Killeen, Harker Heights, Nolanville and Fort Cavazos. The District is comprised of 31 elementary schools, 12 middle schools, 6 high schools including an Early College High School, and 4 special campuses including a state-of-the-art Career Center serving approximately 44,000+ students. The district employs approximately 6,800+ individuals dedicated to working together as a well-orchestrated team to ensure facilities are inviting; campuses are safe and orderly; curricula remains rigorous, innovative and challenging; and extra-curricular activities provide avenues for students to become well-rounded individuals. These collective efforts result in KISD graduates who are equipped with the skills necessary to be successful young adults.

Through our positive daily interactions and by fostering meaningful relationships with our students, the KISD staff is committed to our mission of Teaching So That Students Learn to Their Maximum Potential. One of the district’s primary objectives in support of the mission is Responsiveness; thus we welcome feedback pertaining to every aspect of the district to include our website. Only through the power of the partnerships and collaborative efforts with our parents and community, are we able to provide our students with the best educational opportunities possible.
