The Teacher Media Center is here to support classroom teachers in creating lively, interactive lessons for their students. At the media center you will find eight laminators, numerous standard and XL Ellison die press machines with a wall full of dies to choose from, two electronic cutout makers, poster machines, button maker machines, paper cutters, a comb bound book binder, a copier, computers, color and black printers. We also supply a variety of colors of construction paper and tag board along with scissors, glue, markers, etc. to complete your projects. You may also bring your own scrapbook paper, wall paper, wrapping paper, foam, fabric or felt to use with the die presses. The possibilities are endless!

Please be sure you wear your KISD ID badge to use the media center. ​​​​​​​   

Volunteers may use the Media Center on days students are in class if they are approved district volunteers that have had the Teacher Media Center orientation. If you are/have a new volunteer, please see your campus volunteer coordinator, and they will contact the Teacher Media Center to set up an orientation. 

Regular Hours During the School Year 

Monday - Thursday  9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday  8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

• We close for district holidays and the Saturday with it.

Friendly Reminder: You must wear your KISD ID to use the media center. ​​​If you are a new teacher without your ID yet, please talk to Joan or Margaret when you come in.

Dates We Are Closed 

During the 2024-2025 school year, the Teacher Media Center will be closed on the following dates: August 31; September 2; October 12-19; November 9, 11, 23-30; December 21-31; January 1-4, 18, 20; March 15-22; April 18, 19; May 24, 26, 31; June 19, 30, and all Fridays and Saturdays.
