The Killeen ISD Communications Services Office serves district residents and employees through printed publications, photography of events, news releases, media relations, back-to-school information centers, a comprehensive district internet website, plus 24-hours a day of television programming on Spectrum Channel 17.
The office is operated under the supervision of the KISD Assistant Superintendent for Administration's office with leadership and support provided by Dr. Susan Buckley.
Using both print and the internet for the distribution of materials and information about the district. Breaking stories, up-to-the-minute news releases, campus-based features, and photos are also available on the site at www.killeenisd.org/news. The district's official calendar, general information brochure, monthly parent newsletter, and district map are also available for viewing on the web.
KISD-TV, located in the KISD Career Center, features a variety of programming including a community bulletin board, home football games, girls' volleyball, high school graduations, band and choir concerts, and other special, locally produced programs. In addition, the Communications Services Office coordinates all Honors and Recognition ceremonies presented by the Board of Trustees to students and staff and works with local and area media outlets and supports administrators and staff members with public relations efforts.
