Dr. Sheila Ransburg

Hi ROOS!

My name is Dr. Sheila Ransburg-Shepard and I am so PROUD to be a part of the ROO family!! I am a former student of Killeen ISD and a graduate of Killeen High School. I am entering my 23th year with Killeen ISD and have 26 years of experience in education. During my career, I have had the pleasure of teaching students, advocating for students and researching the learning styles of students with special needs. 

I am a three time graduate from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work, Master of Education Degree, and a Doctor of Education Degree in Education.  I have completed a principal certification and a superintendent certification.

I am happy to be an Assistant Principal for this campus. I am excited to assist students, parents and my fellow staff members with the policies and procedures of our campus. My goal is for every student to gain at least one year of academic growth every year. As we continue to put students first, it brings me great joy to reconnect with my alma mater to ensure the success of the students at Killeen High School! 

On a personal note, I am a former military brat and traveled some as a child. Our final duty station was Fort Cavazos, formally Ft. Hood,  in 1982. I have worked at several Killeen ISD campuses that I have attended as a student! I am married to my soulmate, George. We spend our free time traveling, reading, cooking, shopping and spending time with family.
