Early literacy experiences delivered by highly-qualified educators in KISD Prek and Kindergarten classrooms throughout the district play important roles in supporting language development. Enjoyable, real-life learning experiences, whether through Math Talks or science exploratory lessons combined with enriching literacy activities are experiences that wire the brain and develop foundational language, reading, and emergent writing skills.
Killeen ISD also provides the Spanish bilingual program for Prek and Kindergarten students at five campuses throughout the district.

Is your child ready to start Pre-K or Kindergarten in Killeen ISD? Register your child for the new school year! Parents from all KISD elementary schools can visit their campus to enroll.
To complete registration, parents must bring the following documents:
Proof of Residency (Electric, Gas, Water Bill, or Lease Agreement)
Parent’s Driver’s License or Photo ID
Student’s Birth Certificate
Current Immunization Records
