If so, do you know someone who would like to join our team as a Bus Driver?
Our starting pay is $18.21!
Refer them and earn extra money!Current KISD employees can earn up to $400 for referring a new driver!
- $200 after the new driver successfully completes training
- $200 Bus Driver Referral Stipend after one year of service
Referred candidates must be new to the district or former KISD drivers that have not been employed by KISD for the past two school years.

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY STIPEND IF I LEAVE THE SCHOOL DISTRICT BEFORE THE REFERRED BUS DRIVER COMPLETES THE REQUIREMENTS?
No referral stipend will be paid.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE THE STIPEND?
The stipend will be paid in the regular payroll check. The full stipend, minus any deductions, will be paid in the pay period after the referred bus driver completes the requirements.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO RECEIVE THE STIPEND?
Successful completion of training is defined as completion of all new driver training requirements and individual route assignments. This qualifies the employee to receive the initial $200 of the Referral stipend.
To receive an additional $200 of the Referral stipend the referred driver must complete one full school year, and must complete one full calendar year.

All KISD Employees.
