• Killeen ISD is excited to announce the beginning of the Texas Farm Fresh Initiative! In partnership with the Texas Department of Agriculture, the goal of this initiative is to bring local, healthy food to almost 2 million children across the state. Killeen ISD is supporting this initiative by incorporating local produce and farm products into our menu. Be on the lookout for fresh local strawberries, tomatoes, and lettuce to name a few!
     
    To support this initiative, we've uploaded fun activities to learn about the types of fruits and vegetables grown in Texas. Check out our quick links for recipes, gardening tips, and engaging brain games.
