Credit By Examination (CBE) Parent Information

Students in grades K-12 may take exams for credit recovery or acceleration.  The exams are purchased from the University of Texas, Texas Tech University and/or AVANT through Killeen ISD and are aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).  

Grades K-12:  Test at Killeen ISD site 
Students taking credit by examination for any grade level subject will need to make arrangements to take the exams on-site in Killeen ISD.  Students in grades Kindergarten through 2nd grade will be administered paper assessments while those seeking to test in grade 3-12 will take the test online. Killeen ISD personnel will administer all CBEs. Photo IDs are required for secondary students to test.
