The Accounting Department ensures the overall integrity of the general ledger for the purpose of financial reporting. All balance sheet accounts, KISD bank accounts, Bell County Appraisal District, job-cost, general and food warehouses and inter-funds are some of the items reconciled by this department.

The Accounting Department also coordinates the annual external audit. Compiling “PBC” items and schedules from departments throughout the District and preparing schedules pertinent to the Accounting Department, as requested by the Auditors.

Student Activity Funds is also an integrate part of this department. This department is the POC for activity fund questions and provides training on activity fund policies, procedures and QuickBooks software.
