Student ID Policy

All students are required to wear their student ID card per KISD policy. Student ID cards should be visible and worn above the waist at all times on campus. If your student loses their ID card, they must purchase a new one for $6. Free ID cards may also be exchanged for lunch detention.

If a student reports to campus without their ID card, they must obtain a temporary ID in the library before the school day begins at 8:45 a.m., with no consequence. If they report to the library to get a temporary ID at any other time during the day, they will receive one, however they will also receive a tardy as a consequence. This policy is to ensure that students are being responsible prior to the school day beginning. Students who repeatedly obtain temporary IDs will eventually earn other disciplinary consequences.
