    CHS Library Policy

    • All students must sign in at the circulation desk upon entering the library. 
    • Students are required to have a visible, valid CHS ID or temporary ID to use the library.
    • The library is open to students from 8:15 am until 4:30 pm on school days. Students should have a completed pass to use the library during class time.
    • Digital resources are provided by the district. Access additional information by logging into the library homepage or by contacting Ms. Kelly or Ms. Davidson.
    • Students may check out up to three library books at one time.
    • Students may use Destiny to request a book.
    • Books are due two weeks after check out. 
    • Students may renew books at the circulation desk in the library.
    • If a book is lost, the replacement cost of the book is charged.
    • Food and drinks are not allowed in the library or Media Lounge. 

     

    CHS Loss and Damages Policy 

    The CHS Library charges loss and damage fees. Borrowers are entirely responsible for returning in good condition all library materials, regardless of circumstances that may occur over the period of the loan. All patrons are subject to fines for damaged or lost materials.

    Lost Books 
    The price of a new copy of the book 
    Damaged Books 
    An amount to be determined by the nature and extent of the damage, not to exceed the price of the book.
