Ms. Carrion

Julissa C. Carrion, Campus Facilitator for Special Programs at Charles Patterson Middle School. She has been part of the Killeen ISD family for 6 years.

Ms. Carrion graduated with her Bachler’s degree in English as a Second Language at the Secondary Level in Guayama, Puerto Rico. She completed her first year of teaching in Puerto Rico.

In 2017, Ms. Carrion moved to Killeen, TX with her son. She substituted while in the process of getting her Texas Educator Certificate. Once certified, she become an ESL teacher at Smith Middle School for 4 years. In 2019, she began her Master’s program in Educational Leadership with a Principal Certification Program at Texas A&M Central Texas. She was the recipient of We teach Texas Fellowship.  In 2022, Ms. Carrion was the Campus Facilitator of Special Programs at Pershing Park, a Bilingual Elementary School. Now, she is excited to join and begin working with the Cavalier Family.

Ms. Carrion believes that all students should receive an equal, equitable, and adequate education. She works hard to ensure that students in special populations receive the appropriate supports to be successful. She believes that the collaboration between school administrators, teachers, and parents is very important to ensure student success.

She is looking forward to an amazing school year with the Cavalier family!
