Mrs. Brilina Pursche
Hello Leopard Family!
I am so excited to begin this school year as the 7th grade counselor! My name is Brilina Pursche, and this is my first year here at Smith Middle School. As a KISD graduate, I am so honored to give back to the community that shaped me to be the person that I am today. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in education and my master's degree in school counseling from Texas A&M University-Central Texas. I am rolling into my 10th year in Education. Two years were spent in the classroom teaching at the elementary level, five years were spent as an elementary school counselor, and this will be my third year as a counselor at the secondary level.
When I am not working, I am spending quality time with my husband and our eight kids. They keep us busy with the sports and extracurricular activities they are involved in throughout the district. On any given day, you will find me on some sort of sports field supporting my children and students alike. Watching kids work on their passion and follow their dreams gives me great joy. Which is why I am so excited to join in on all the amazing things Smith has to offer. I just know that is going to be an amazing year. Go Leopards!
