Mrs. Melissa Thomas

Mrs. Melissa Thomas is the Dean of Instruction at Palo Alto Middle School. She holds a master's degree in education from Concordia University and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role.

With over six years of experience as a classroom teacher, Mrs. Thomas deeply understands student needs and instructional strategies that drive academic success. Her journey in education has been marked by a commitment to excellence and a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

As a District Instructional Coach and Campus Curriculum Specialist in Killeen ISD, Mrs. Thomas worked closely with educators to develop and implement effective teaching practices. She provided professional development, coaching, and support to help teachers enhance their instructional techniques and improve student outcomes. 

Mrs. Thomas's teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that all students can learn and are valued. She is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and supportive school culture. 

Mrs. Thomas loves to spend time with her husband and three children outside of her professional life. Her oldest daughter, Aisha, is a Junior at the University of Texas San Antonio. Gabrielle trains in ballet at The Eastside Professional Dance Program in Austin. Randall (RJ) is currently in 5th grade.
