Ms. Brittany Roop

Brittany Roop has lived in several states across the U.S., including Kentucky, Michigan, Florida, and Texas, which has given her a broad perspective on education and life. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Studies from Eastern Kentucky University and later went on to earn a Master’s in Conservation Biology from the University of West Alabama.

Ms. Roop began her career in Killeen ISD as a substitute teacher before transitioning into a classroom role, where she taught various courses in high school such as sciences and AVID for four years. She later moved into elementary education for another year, gaining a diverse range of experience across grade levels. Her educational background in science and conservation, along with her passion for global learning, informs her work as an Instructional Specialist at Palo Alto Middle School.

In addition to her classroom experience, Ms. Roop has a deep commitment to hands-on, real-world learning. She has conducted research in the Boiling River of the Amazon Rainforest in Peru and led student trips abroad to enrich their understanding of different cultures. From London and Paris to various regions of France and Japan, these trips have provided students with invaluable global perspectives and the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world beyond the classroom.

Excited to bring her unique blend of education, experience, and passion for global exploration to Palo Alto, Ms. Roop is dedicated to fostering an environment where students are inspired to think critically, engage with new ideas, and see the world in a new light.

When she's not working, Ms. Roop enjoys spending time with her two sons, who keep her life full of energy and adventure. She is thrilled to be part of the team at Palo Alto Middle School and looks forward to helping both students and teachers thrive.
