Ms. Ariana Lavender

Ms. Lavender was born on Ft. Cavazos and attended Meadows Elementary School for Kindergarten and first grade before moving to Oahu, HI due to her dad being stationed at Scofield Barracks. She spent second-fifth grades at Hale Kula Elementary School before returning to Killeen, TX (where her dad was stationed again at Ft. Cavazos). She attended Manor Middle School for sixth and seventh grades and Liberty Hill for eighth grade. She was the last class to attend the Killeen Ninth Grade Center before the school transitioned into Harker Heights High School. She graduated in 2003 and attended the University of Texas-Austin and received her Bachelors of Arts degree in 2007. She began her teaching career in August 2007 at Killeen High School. She received her master’s degree in Education Administration from Lamar University in May 2016.

 

While at Killeen High School, Ms. Lavender taught every level of English Language Arts and served as the Lead ELA teacher for nine years.

Ms. Lavender loves to read, travel, and attend Longhorn football games with her boyfriend, Spencer Gregg-Head Band Director at Stony Point High School in Round Rock, TX.

Ms. Lavender is thrilled to begin the next chapter of her educator career as an Assistant Principal at Palo Alto.
