“He was part of a great wide receiver group that was my first freshman class when I arrived here at Shoemaker in 2017,” Foreman said. “He’s got a special place in my heart. You couldn’t ask for a better kid and a better leader. And he comes back all the time.”

In fact, Baldwin, who also attended Live Oak Ridge Middle School, spent part of Saturday as he waited for his call to the pros at Shoemaker High School with a number of former teammates and coaches.

At Baylor, the 5-foot-9, 172-pound speedster had four-year totals of 99 receptions for 1,673 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Baldwin, who had four total teams inquire about his interest, likely caught the attention of the Dolphins with his electrifying NFL combine 40-yard dash time of 4.32 seconds.

Baldwin was rated a three-star recruit by ESPN coming out of high school. He had 42 catches for 795 yards and 12 touchdowns and added 399 yards and two more scores rushing for the Grey Wolves in 2020 when they finished the season 8-3.
