Assistant Principal Mrs. Dobbins

    AP Dobbins Octavia L. Dobbins is an assistant principal at the Killeen ISD Early College High School and has proudly served students in education for twenty years. Her journey in education began during her enlistment in the United States Army as a Non-Commissioned Officer - Training Sergeant where she honorably served her term.  She continued her passion of educating others as a Personnel Database trainer for solders and civilian.  Dobbins earned her Bachelors of Science Degree from Excelsior College and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Tarleton State University.

    Dobbins’ public school career began as a paraprofessional at Palo Alto Middle School and Killeen High School.  Upon obtaining her teacher certification she continued her passion of working with students with special needs at both the elementary and middle school levels as a Special Education teacher and coach.  She continued to serve the Killeen community in an administrative capacity as an academic advisor and assistant principal at Rancier Middle School for ten years.    

    Because of her experience with students of all learning capabilities, she has a core belief that all students can and will learn. Ultimately, Octavia Dobbins’ goal is to ensure that all students learn the necessary skills to become productive members of their community.
