Greetings and welcome back Bulldogs! I am enthusiastic to get this year started as Campus Facilitator of Special Programs for Ira Cross Elementary School. Like so many in the CTX, I am from a military family. I was born in Germany to Jamaican parents and called JA "home" and spent most holidays there while growing up. I now have embraced Texas as my home and have lived here for over 20 years. Although my family is no longer in the military, I still enjoy traveling and learning about new cultures.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Augusta State University and my Masters degree in Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment from Tarleton State University. I love teaching and have been in the education field for over 17 years.
I am the proud wife of a US Army Veteran and have two amazing children- my daughter is a HHHS graduate and continuing her studies at TAMU CTX and my son is a HHHS student and an active member of FFA which makes me also an active member (lol). In my free time, I enjoy hiking, being active, shopping, DIY projects, and overall spending quality time with my family.
I thoroughly love my position as a Campus Facilitator and the connections I make on a daily basis, not only with my coworkers but with the students who are serviced, and their parents. The success of our students is truly a team effort, and I am made aware of it through my position that it takes a village. I look forward to another successful year of servicing our campus.
