Mr. Tyler Cochran
Hi there! I am Tyler Cochran school counselor at Ira Cross Junior Elementary. Currently, I am earning my masters in clinical mental health from Texas A&M Central Texas. I have twelve years in the district as a teacher in both middle and high school positions. I am excited to begin my next journey as an elementary school counselor!
I grew up in Austin and earned my bachelors in radio, television, and film from the University of Texas at Austin. I love all things animals, photography, travel, food, and coffee.
I believe nurturing our Bulldogs' mental health is just as important as their academic growth. Our counseling program focuses on creating a supportive community where every student feels valued, understood, and empowered. We work together to build resilience, develop coping skills, and foster positive relationships. By prioritizing mental wellness, we're helping our young Bulldogs thrive both in and out of the classroom.
