Ms. Teffiney A. Terrell

Hello,

I am Teffiney Terrell, LMSW and I am excited to be back here for my second year at Ira Cross, Jr. Elementary School to serve you as the Social and Emotional Learning Specialist (SELS) this 2024-2025 school year.   

 I obtained my bachelor’s degree in social work from Texas A&M University-Central Texas and my master’s degree in social work from Our Lady Lake University. I am a mother to four daughters and Mimi to seven grandsons.  

 The mission of the Killeen Independent School District Counseling Program is to advocate, support, collaborate and build relationships to empower all students to acquire academic, career, personal, and social competencies to make every student future ready. 

 My goal for the students is to help them express themselves in a more consistent and effective way. This will be achieved by helping the students understand and process their emotions, helping them build healthy relationships with their peers and teachers, and develop healthy social skills. At Ira Cross, Jr E.S. we believe in developing the WHOLE child so that when they leave here, they will be the best of the best not only academically, but also socially.
