Ms. Julissa C. Carrion

Ms. Carrion has been part of the Killeen ISD family for 7 years. She graduated with her B.A. in English as a Second Language at the Secondary Level in Guayama, Puerto Rico, where she also completed her first year of teaching.

In 2017, Ms. Carrion moved to Killeen, TX, with her son. While obtaining her Texas Educator Certificate, she served as a substitute teacher. Once certified, she became an ESL teacher at Smith Middle School, a position she held for 4 years. In 2019, she began her Master’s program in Educational Leadership with a Principal Certification at Texas A&M Central Texas, where she was honored as a We Teach Texas Fellowship recipient.

Ms. Carrion began her journey as a Campus Facilitator for Special Programs at Pershing Park Elementary School. After her first year, she transitioned to Charles Patterson Middle School, where she continued in the role for an additional 1.5 years. 

Ms. Carrion is committed to supporting all students, teachers, and parents by fostering a positive and inclusive school environment. She believes that strong collaboration and communication are key to achieving academic and personal success for every member of the school community.
