Mrs. Denise Rodriguez
My name is Denise Rodriguez, and it is with great enthusiasm that I joined the administration team at Montague Village Elementary School as an Assistant Principal. I am looking forward to continuing to support our community of stakeholders, the success of our scholars, and building teacher capacity.
As I enter my 14th year in education, this will be my 6th year with Killeen ISD and my 4th year at Montague. I have served as a classroom teacher for all grade levels in elementary, a teacher mentor, reading interventionist, instructional coach and curriculum and instructional specialist. I attended Texas Lutheran University where I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master of Science degree from UT-Arlington in Curriculum and Instruction, and two Master of Science degrees from Lamar University in Educational Leadership and Digital Learning and Leadership.
As the daughter of a military service member, I grew up in Killeen where I met my husband, an army veteran, and we have two beautiful daughters. It was important to me to return and service the community that helped foster my education and shaped me into the educational leader I am today. My passion for education extends beyond the classroom as I value cultivating and elevating student success, teacher efficacy, and community involvement. My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing educational environment that challenges our scholars to succeed beyond expectations and become future leaders to make the world a better place. I am honored to be part of the Montague Village longhorn community and look forward to a successful school year. Gooooo Longhorns!
