What are the school day start and dismissal times?

• The doors open at 7:00 a.m.
• The first bell rings at 7:25 a.m. School begins at 7:30 a.m.
• School dismisses at 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
• Early dismissal is at 1:00 p.m.

What is the attendance policy?

• Attendance is taken at 9:30 am. Please call the attendance line at 254.336.1900 if your child is going to be absent.
• If your child is not present at 9:30 am, you must send in a parent note (10 allowable per school year) or a medical note (unlimited) to clear your child’s absence.
• If your child has been out for three days without notification, a school representative will be sent to your home to check on your student.

What times are breakfast and lunch served:

• Breakfast is served from 7:00 -7:20 a.m.
• Lunch times vary by grade.

How do parents pay for lunch?

• Payment can be made online or at the school. If sending money in with your student, please enclose it in an envelope marked lunch account with your child's and teacher's name.

Can I eat lunch with my child? 

• Yes, you can each lunch with your child during certain days of the week. The family lunch schedule is as follows:
  • Monday-4th Grade (12:00 - 12:30)
  • Tuesday- 1st (11:00 - 11:30) & 3rd Grade (11:15 - 11:45)
  • Wednesday- 2nd Grade (11:30 - 12:00)
  • Thursday- PK (10:30 - 11:00) & Kinder (10:45 - 11:15)
  • Friday- 5th Grade (12:30 - 1:00)

My child needs to come home a different way. What do I do?

• Send a note to your child’s teacher or come in and notify the office in person. For your student’s safety, dismissal changes are not allowed over the phone.

What is the latest I can sign my student out?

• 2:30 pm. Students may not be signed out after this time.

How do I check my child's grades online?

• Home Access Center allows you to monitor your child's grades and attendance.
• All new students will have the following login: 
  • User Name: Guardian email on file
  • Password: password
• All students will be accessible from the drop down menu at the top right of the screen.

If I have a concern or there is a conflict with my child, who can I contact?

• Please communicate with your teacher first.

Is there a parent/student handbook?

• Yes. The handbook contains valuable information for parents and students to review together.

How do I volunteer?

A background check is required for volunteering. The application link is listed below. Two weeks after filing the background check, please contact the school office. You will not be notified when the check in complete, please contact the front office to follow up on the status of your application.

• There are many opportunities to volunteer, including but not limited to:
• Helping in classrooms
• Valet line support
• Lunch room help
• Media Center (you will need a one-hour training class)
• Office support
• In-home help: cutting, pasting, etc.
  
  

How do I withdraw my student?

• Notify your teacher the date your student will be withdrawn
• Notify the front office the day your student will be withdrawn. You will need to sign paperwork on
  their last day of school
• If you are going overseas, a records request must be submitted one week in advance
• If you are transferring to a Texas school, your records will be requested from your new campus
• Turn in all library books and electrical devices
