KISD will host two Military Families Connect (MFC) events this year. The purpose of the MFC is to provide an informal opportunity for active-duty military parents to gain further insight into programs and services offered to military-connected students. KISD staff will present an overview of our special education and academic programs. We will also have vendors on site to share information on services specifically for military families. We value your partnership in this extraordinary opportunity for our students and their families!
MFC Fall Semester
December 11 | 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm | Bronco Youth Center (near Meadows ES)
MFC Spring Semester
May 13 | 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm | Commanche Youth Center (near Hobby ES)
Additional Duties:
*Make contact with our military-connected students.
*Provide social-emotional support for our military-connected children.
*Provide support for military-connected parents.
*Respond to any military-connected question that parents might inquire about.
