Mrs. Heather Hamilton

My name is Heather Hamilton and I am the professional school counselor at Montague Village Elementary School.  I have been at Montague Village for 24 years and have served as a third and fifth-grade teacher, as well as being the school counselor.  There is no other school or community I would rather serve. 

I grew up in the military community as my dad served in the Army Chaplaincy.  I am familiar with the joys and struggles of military families as there are many adventures, transitions, and unknowns at every turn.  My mission is to love up families while they are at Fort Hood so that when they move on they have felt supported, treasured, and encouraged while stationed at the "Great Place". 

When I am not in the halls and classrooms of Montague Village, I enjoy time with my family and friends in the community of Killeen and Fort Hood.  My husband is also an educator in Killeen ISD and we have five children who have all been Montague Longhorns and have benefited from the wealth of knowledge, compassion, and professionalism of our amazing teachers and staff.  There is no other place I would have wanted my children to start their educational journey. 

I am active in activities with a new church plant in Harker Heights, the Armed Services YMCA, and building relationships with people in our great community who serve children in foster care.  I get a lot of joy from connecting people with resources and with each other.
