Mrs. Deronda Spencer

Hi Patriot Family, I am Deronda Spencer the Technology Applications Teacher and Athletics Coach.  I lived in Seattle for 20 years before moving to Killeen in 2014. I started as an Associate Teacher at Richard Milburn Academy in 2021-2023 and decided to pursue getting my teacher certification.  This is my second year at Palo Alto, and I will be coaching Track and Soccer.  I enjoy all sports, and I keep a competitive spirit . I played for 2 years in college at South Puget Sound and have been coaching since 2004.  I believe" hard work trumps talent" and "teamwork makes the dreamwork!"  Coaching, teaching, and mentoring has been a passion of mine, and it's great to see the growth in the youth as they overcome adversity, challenges and obstacles on and off field/court.
