Mrs. Marianita Reynolds

Hello! I would like to introduce myself as the new school nurse here at Alice W. Douse Elementary School. My name is Marianita Reynolds. I began my nursing journey in 2015 when I graduated with my Associate's Degree in Nursing from El Paso Community College. I started my career at Del Sol Medical Center as a Medsurg/Oncology nurse in 2016. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2018. As a military wife, the Army moved us to many different places. The last two places we moved to were Alaska and then back to Texas, where I both worked as an Endoscopy Nurse until 2023.

School nursing was something that I knew I would love doing since my rotation during nursing school. I have 3 children and 2 Bonus children that go to KISD schools. Interacting with the nurses from their schools has persuaded me to be part of the school nursing family. My children are my passion. Their health and safety are my utmost priority in helping them. I would do the same for the school-age students in the community.

Even though I am new to the KISD family, I am so honored and excited to be a part of such a wonderful and caring community that Alice Douse has provided. I am excited about serving the students, families, and staff. I believe that students learn the best when they are healthy and safe. My goal as your school nurse is to provide the best safe care and ensure that the health of the students will be nurtured. I believe that communication is one of the keys to successful coexistence. So please do not hesitate to contact me if there are any questions or concerns in regard to your student’s health.
