Mrs. Jessica Jones

Welcome back to another great school year, Diamondbacks!  My name is Jessica Jones, and I am excited to be one of your assistant principals this year.  This is my first year in Killeen ISD, and I am so grateful that I get to be a part of all the great things happening in Killeen!  I am here to help our students and staff grow in every way possible.

My husband Scott and I have three children, all entering or continuing college this school year! I enjoy reading, traveling, gardening, and spending time with my family. While this is my first year in KISD and at Douse Elementary, this is my 12th year in education. I have been an elementary teacher, Instructional Coach, and, most recently, a District Data Fellow (a grant-funded program through the Texas Education Agency). All my experience has prepared me to support our students this school year!

I am a lifelong learner and want to instill that in our students and staff as well.  While I will be serving as assistant principal with many responsibilities, I am passionate about reading and improving outcomes for our students.  I want our students to be successful in their pursuits inside and outside of the classroom, and prepare them for college, career, and life.
