Parent Liaisons

Wayne C. Moore and Laura Cervantes, Parent Liaisons & Volunteer Coordinators

As the Parent Liaisons of Killeen Elementary School, we are here to serve and help meet the needs of parents, students, teachers, and staff. We ensure that home & school, work together to promote the academic success of the students. Our job is to provide activities that strengthen the partnership between home and school. We are here to help parents get the information and support they need to ensure their child’s academic and social success. Please feel free to reach out to us in any way that we can help.

Workshops are held on a variety of topics that parents can use in their lives to help their children.

Killeen Elementary provides many opportunities for you to become involved in your child’s experiences at school and volunteering is a rewarding fulfilling experience.  If you are interested in volunteering, please feel free to come by for a volunteer orientation.  A volunteer orientation consisting of a 20-minute video, a tour of the building, completing the volunteer application, which asks questions on your interests, special skills, and hobbies.

You will be asked to complete a background check.  Texas state law demands that public schools obtain criminal history records of all personal employed or involved in volunteer services in public schools. (Texas Education Code 22.083). Our concern is for the welfare and safety of everyone at Killeen!
