Amy Carlson

Hello Panthers! I’m excited to serve as Assistant Principal at EHMS.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Tarleton State University in 2006 and Master of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from University of Texas at Arlington in 2018. I began teaching in 2007 in our neighboring district, Copperas Cove. I spent 12 years there teaching PK-2^nd, and 3^rd and 4^th ELAR and Social Studies at three different campuses. In 2019, I transitioned to Killeen ISD and RJSMS to serve as Campus Instructional Specialist and Facilitator of Special Programs. I served as Assistant Principal at RJSMS for the 22-23 and 23-24 school years.

I believe it is important to develop our students academically, socially, and emotionally as they grow into active citizens in our community.  I look forward to building relationships with students and strong partnerships with parents, students, staff, and the community.
