Ms. Morris

Ms. Morris is enjoying her 15th year of teaching middle school band, and this is her first year as the head band director at Roy J. Smith Middle School. She previously taught 6-12th grade band in Rosebud-Lott ISD and was an assistant and head band director at Liberty Hill Middle School in Killeen ISD for 11 years. She has a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University in College Station and earned her undergraduate degree in Music Education at the University of North Texas in Denton.

Vicky considers her band kids to be her “band babies” but when not at school and having fun developing young musicians, she enjoys spending time with her son Jameson and dog, Sandy. Watching her son play soccer, going on hikes with Jameson and Sandy, quilting, and doing CrossFit workouts are some of Ms. Morris’ favorite activities.

Ms. Morris is a flute and piano player and is primarily responsible for teaching the beginning percussion, clarinet, saxophone, flute, and Advanced Band classes.
