Carolyn Dugger

Welcome to Hay Branch! I am Carolyn Dugger, principal. I am a proud graduate of KISD! At one time, my mother, sister, brother and I were all teachers in KISD. All of my children attended Killeen schools.  This makes my 45^th year as an educator in Killeen and have served as a bilingual teacher, elementary teacher, math instructional coach, assistant principal and principal.

Hay Branch has a rich history dating back to 1986 with its first principal being Mrs. Alice W. Douse. Mrs. Douse chose the mascot of the Hawks because hawks rise above. This establishes our vision for the 24-25 school year; “We are the Hay Branch Hawks and we rise to the top!” We will make all decisions based on character, relationships and academics so that our students will grow to the highest standards of love, kindness and success.

We encourage our parents, guardians, and families to come into our school and learn with us. Together we will prepare our children to be successful leaders! We will celebrate each step forward in this year’s journey!  We love our children, and we hope you will journey with us as we rise to the top!
