Dear Iduma Parents and Students,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! My name is Katy Bohannon and I feel so fortunate to be the principal of Iduma Elementary School.
I am the proud daughter of a veteran and a retired educator. My parents instilled in me a respect for education and I am grateful for the experiences of living in this diverse community. My dad was in the Army and many of his duty stations were here at Ft. Hood. My mom was a kindergarten teacher who inspired me to become an educator. Since graduating college, I have been a teacher, Campus Instructional Specialist and Assistant Principal right here in the Killeen Independent School District.
Iduma believes in educating the whole child and giving students learning experiences that prepare them for their next level of learning and life beyond the walls of Iduma. We ask our students to be inquirers and thinkers. We ask students to take action, to be involved in their own learning, and to help make this world a better place. Our staff works hard to plan and deliver instruction that meets the needs of each student.
At Iduma, we believe that our parents and students are an important part of our educational mission.
