Elementary music instruction taught by certified music specialists is provided at all KISD elementary campuses within dedicated music rooms.  Students experience music through vocal and instrumental exploration, listening, creating, improvising, and performing.

In the 4th and 5th grade, students have the opportunity to participate in the KISD choral festival, an honor choir, with chosen students from participating campuses performing in a combined concert.
