Cedar Valley Elementary is a 100% ID check campus. 

At Cedar Valley Elementary, our dismissal procedures are designed with the utmost care and safety in mind. We prioritize the well-being of our students, staff, and the community during this critical transition period. Our dedicated staff is always on hand to assist and guide students as they enter/exit the school premises, and we appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a secure and efficient dismissal routine.

Walkers

Students walk home from school without a sibling.  Students are escorted to a designated area.  4^th and 5^th grade walkers are released through door 7.  2^nd and 3^rd grade walkers are released through door 9.

Sibling Walkers

Students walk home with a sibling.  PreK through 5th-grade students are paired with their siblings in the building prior to release.  Students will exit through door 1.

Parent Pick Up

Parents will park their cars and pick up students at the designated grade-level doors. A photo ID is required.  Pre-K, Kinder, 1^st, and 2nd-grade students will be released from their teachers in the front left side of the building. 3^rd, 4^th, and 5th-grade students will be released from their teachers in the front right side of the building.    

Car Rider

Parents will drive their cars through the designated car rider lane. A photo ID is required. Pre-K, Kinder, 1^st, and 2nd-grade students will be released through the left car rider lane.  3^rd, 4^th, and 5th-grade students will be released through the right car rider lane. 

Sibling Car Riders

Parents will drive their car through the left car rider lane. A photo ID is required. Siblings will be paired prior to their release.

Bus

Students eligible for bus services can sign up through the online registration process. Please see the front office secretaries for assistance. EDULOG app/code is available in the front office.

YMCA/Daycare

Staff will escort students to the appropriate pick-up location for YMCA and daycare pickup.

• Please remember that after the tardy bell rings, you will need to come to the front office to sign your student in.
• Also, remember to bring an ID card when you sign your student out for the day and at dismissal. This is also for anyone you have authorized to pick your student up from school.
• If your student is a bus rider, please remind them about bus safety and behavior on the bus. Bus safety is a priority and riding the bus is a privilege.
• School releases promptly at 3:00 p.m. Please ensure you are here on time to retrieve your student.
• Please do not park in the bus or fire lanes. This is a safety hazard and citations will be given.
