Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Bus students arrive on the south side of the building in the bus loop area along Granex Drive.

Students who walk to school will enter the building through the main front entrance. The entrance to the first-grade hallway will not be open for student arrivals.

All Pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students arriving in privately owned vehicles will come to the student drop off area along Excel Drive and enter those doors up until 7:30 a.m. Students who arrive after 7:30 a.m. will need to enter through the front doors.

Do not drop of your child along the fence line in the front parking lot.

Students are late once the tardy bell rings at 7:30 a.m.
Parents must bring students in to the office and sign them in if they arrive late.

Students who ride special education buses will arrive at the front of the building on the north side. Students in wheelchairs arriving in privately owned vehicles will be dropped off curbside on the north side of the building closest to the building.

Parents must park in the front parking lot if they wish to come inside the building with their child(ren). Handicapped parking is available for those parents who wish to park and come inside the building with students in wheelchairs.

Bus students will depart from their designated areas. Walkers will be dismissed at the end of the bus sidewalk. Daycare buses will drop off/pick up at the front of the building. Children who are being picked up will be picked up from their grade level designated pick-up area.

NOTE: The two front lanes of the parking lot are for special needs buses and day care buses only. Buses drop off and pick up close to the building. Daycare buses/vans drop off and pick up on the other side of the fence dividing the lanes.

Parents are not allowed in the building before the dismissal bell rings.
Due to the high traffic area in the foyer when classes are dismissed, we ask that all parents remain outside the dismissal areas. This will help the school tremendously and will eliminate any confusion. Each class will be walked to their designated bus area, YMCA, Daycare pick-up and designated student pick-up area. Walkers will gather in the cafeteria during dismissal. They will be released to walk home last. This will allow buses and cars to clear out of the area before students are released to walk home.
