DISTRICT GROWTH

  • Killeen ISD currently enrolls 44,319 students and is the 26th largest school district in Texas.

    The district has grown 13,711 students since its last bond election in 2002, and an average of nearly 600 students each year for the last 10 years. This growth rate is projected to continue, resulting in an additional 4,637 students by 2027-28.

    HIGH SCHOOL POPLUATION

    Despite efforts to alleviate crowding at the high schools by opening the Early College High School and Career Center, 3 of the district’s 4 comprehensive high schools are over capacity.
