CIC - Mrs. Keina Cook

Greetings Grizzlies! I am the Campus Instructional Coach here at Union Grove Middle School. My goal is to be the best resource for teachers so that we can ensure the highest levels of student success.

I was born and raised in New Orleans, LA (Geaux Saints), but have lived here in the Killeen/Harker Heights area since 2000. I received my BS in Political Science from Texas A&M University Central Texas and my Masters in American History from Pace University. I am married to an outstanding educator, and we have three amazing kids (two of whom are Grizzlies), and a phenomenal daughter-in-law. 

I taught social studies at Killeen High School for eleven years. My roles included AP and IB teacher, department lead teacher, NHS Advisor, and IB Coordinator.  I also initiated the first African American Studies course in the district. I was honored to be the KHS Teacher of the Year in 2020. 

I am a strong believer in the power of unlimited potential. All of us have untapped potential, skills we possess that simply need the right time, resources, and attention to grow. A teacher is a guide, the facilitator of dreams unrealized. I cannot wait to see potential lead to self-realization and success as Grizzly dreams become reality!
