The Grizzlies played tough against the Leopards, but were defeated in three sets: 25-18, 25-27, and 10-15. This led to the Grizzlies ending their season in third place in district. The Grizzlies played some outstanding volleyball in both matches. Throughout the tournament, the Grizzlies had several passes, sets, and spikes.
Defensive standouts during the tournament were Kayleigh Moore, Sinai Bledsoe, Cailyn Pope, and Sophia Smith. Trinity Rhodes, Kacey Sutton, Rhys Smith, Alexandria Bridges, and Ellie Walters had some great plays at the net. Outstanding setters were Gianna Soto and Kimberly Martinez. Top servers of the tournament were Kayleigh Moore with 20 points and Gianna Soto with 13.
Coach Wilson is very proud of the lady’s caliber of play during the tournament. The Grizzlies ended their season with a 10-3 record. It has been a pleasure being your coach this year. The ladies and Coach Wilson would like to say thank you to all who came out and supported them at the tournament.
