Bobcat Pride Award

  • The Bobcat Character Award is presented to first through fifth grade students who exemplify good character. Students are chosen by their teachers based on the character trait of the month. Each teacher writes a letter that gives examples of how the student displays good character in the classroom and on campus. The Bobcat Character Ceremony is held to publicly honor the nominated students. At the ceremony, they are presented with the teacher’s letter, a medal, and their picture is displayed on the Bobcat Character Award bulletin board. There are six ceremonies throughout the school year, and the character traits for this year are respect, self-control, responsibility, empathy, teamwork/problem solving, and perseverance. Character education is taught to our Pre-K through fifth grade students throughout the school year, because good character promotes healthy relationships and strong academics.
