Counselor - Ms. Duke

My name is Sarah Duke and I have been a Guidance Counselor at Union Grove Middle School since 2015. Prior to joining the Grizzly Nation, I was a Counselor at Live Oak Ridge Middle School, also in KISD. Currently, my caseload consists of all students with the last names A-K. As your child’s counselor, my goal is to help create a safe, inspiring, and fun learning environment for our Grizzly family – Students, Staff, and Families.

Like many, I am a transplant from the east coast. I completed my Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Human Ecology at Cook College, Rutgers University in 2003. In 2004, I was accepted into the Teach For America program through which I taught special education on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico for five years prior to PCSing to Fort Hood with my husband. I earned a Master’s degree in Special Education from Western New Mexico University in 2007, and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University ~ Central Texas in 2012. I am a proud mom of three children, and enjoy spending any free time with my husband and kids playing outside!
