Mrs. Kayla Dornon

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!

My name is Kayla Dornon, and I am thrilled to serve our Ranger families this school year as the Assistant Principal for 3^rd – 5^thgrade.  

I was born and raised in Central Texas.  I am entering my 13th year with Killeen ISD, where I have built a diverse and impactful career in education. I had the privilege of being a teacher, before expanding my instructional knowledge as a campus instructional specialist.  I was then given the opportunity to add to my Special Education and Section 504 knowledge as a campus facilitator for special programs. Currently, I serve as an assistant principal, where I continue to be able to support students and teachers in the educational journey.

I am dedicated to helping students thrive by setting high expectations and fostering an environment of collaboration with families to ensure every student reaches their fullest potential. I strive to ensure Timber Ridge is a safe and inclusive place for our students to grow, both academically and personally. I look forward to working together with the Timber Ridge community!
