Mrs. Donna Hardy

Welcome to Dr. Joseph A. Fowler Elementary! Our school started way back in 1956. We are at a different location, but we are still the "School with the Big Heart!”  In fact, as a KISD student I attended Fowler Elementary as a child and am a graduate of Ellison High School. I received my bachelor's degree from Tarleton University. I taught second and third graders at  Clarke and Haynes Elementary for many years while completing my master’s degree from A&M University. I have been Fowler’s curriculum and instructional specialist, assistant principal, before becoming the principal. I am a Bulldog for life!  

I am the wife of a retired military soldier, a mother of two, and a grandmother of three. I enjoy spending as much time as I can with my family. I love to vacation in Colorado during the summer as it is nice and cool! 

Our staff focuses on the whole child, as we grow in our academics and relationships creating a Fowler Family Bulldog culture. We believe all our students can achieve remarkable success in life and in their academic education as we strive for excellence. I like to live by example and through this quote from Roy T. Bennett, “Success is not how high you have climbed, but how you make a positive difference to the world.” 

We are respectful and welcoming to all who enter our doors, and we pass this on to our students. Fowler staff looks forward to partnering in your child’s education. We love our students, and we are excited to have you join our family! Once a Fowler Bulldog, always a Fowler Bulldog!
