Education

I grew up in Waco, Texas, where I graduated from University High School. After high school, I attended the University of Texas at Austin before transferring and completing my Bachelor's degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Go Cru! I earned a degree in Elementary Education with an English minor. I continued my education and received my Master's degree from Tarleton State University in Education Administration.

Experience

My passion for kids led me into the educational profession, starting as an instructional assistant at Clifton Park Elementary school in 1994. In my over 20 years experience, I have been an ESL teacher, 3rd grade teacher, literacy coach, and an assistant principal. Most of my experience has been with Killeen ISD. My family's journey took me to El Paso ISD, where I coached and taught for 5 years. I have been fortunate to have learned from extraordinary leaders and collaborated with amazing teachers throughout the course of my career. Every interaction with these fellow educators has helped me grow. I look forward to continue learning and growing with the staff at Trimmier Elementary as their Principal.

Personal

I was born in Thailand and am the oldest of three girls. My sisters have always been my greatest cheerleaders. I've been married for over 20 years and have twin girls who are sophomores in college. They are the light of my life. They both play golf, and I enjoy any opportunity to watch them play. As a family we enjoy spending quality time together at home and travel as often as we can.
